FASHION WEEK FAVES – #THROWBACKTHURSDAY – BALMAIN SPRING 2007

Back in the old days, I didn’t pay much attention to Balmain because, well, truth be told, I didn’t know the brand other than by name, even though the famous Oscar de la Renta was its designer back then. Looking back at the collections from the 90s and early 2000s, it’s understandable that it wasn’t on my radar, considering it did not fit my aesthetic at all. That is, until one day in the mid 2000s, when Christophe Decarnin joined the brand. It went from classic and conservative to sexy, bold and girls-night-out type of attire in my favourite colour palette of black, white and army green and had all my attention. So on this edition of #ThrowbackThursdayRunway, I thought I’d share my favourite looks from my first ever favourite Balmain collection.
