I don’t know if it was due to the lighter colour palette in the first looks or something, but the Balmain fall 2022 vibe was a little softer than the usual tough aesthetic. Sure, there was the protective gear, the military-like armors, the motor skinnies (reminiscent of Mugler), the leather patches on cropped tight-fitting jackets… But that lavender blue evening dress with a built-in armor? So delicate yet so fierce! It was stunning…
I also loved the sleek lines, those blazers and vests with sharp cuts and edges, the strong shoulders, the dresses with bandage details (always looking forward to seeing the latest versions of the minidress)… I could seriously spend hours looking at the intricate details on every single Balmain piece.
