When I saw the Fendi spring 2023 collection, the one thing I thought was “silky smooth”. I could only imagine how it must have felt to wear one of those delicate knit tops with a satin skirt or pants. The mix of materials was beautiful, and one of my favourite combos: satin, organza, cashmere… all executed perfectly.
As for accessories, I loved the new take on the Fendi Peekaboo (one of my favourite bags) with chain handles, and those gorgeous obi belts over some of the coats. And the rubber/leather boots and slides gave the collection a sporty feel. I can’t say I was a huge fan of the colour palette, but for some reason (maybe the weather becoming so damn cold all of a sudden?), it felt like a ray of sunshine.
Some of the elements from this collection were a bit reminiscent of the 90s… overlay dresses combining silk and organza, the straight cuts on some of the skirts and coats. As for my favourite pieces, I loved the satin jacket with large pockets adorned with the Fendi logo hardware, and that single strap dusty pink evening dress in silk… SO dreamy!
