OK, the photos are really bad but I didn’t want to embarrass my friend by taking out my camera so I used my Blackberry… Here’s what I had for lunch at Birks Café: Cream of butternut squash with curry and coco milk, tofu, soya beans & coriander as an appetizer, Ricotta and wild mushrooms ravioli, pine nuts & truffle shavings as a main course and Panna cotta and caramel for dessert.
I absolutely loved it, it was a little piece of heaven. The atmosphere is not the most laid-back, but hey, this is Birks we’re talking about. The service was awesome. I will definitely be going back and maybe next time I’ll try brunch! Oh, and make sure you make reservations, there aren’t that many tables :)
