I go through phases when it comes to food. When I discover (or re-discover) something, I’ll eat it almost every day for a while until I get tired of it, which is usually after a few weeks. And lately, I rediscovered a popular persian spice called Golpar (Persian Hogweed) often eaten with pomegranate. So lately, that’s been my favourite dessert: pomegranate (and sometimes kiwi) sprinkled with Golpar. It’s a little hard to find, but you’ll probably find some at Middle Eastern grocery stores. If you’re in Montreal, check out Akhavan, they have a store in NDG and another in Pierrefonds.
