KOURTNEY MADE ME (ALMOST) DO IT

Ever since I’ve been diagnosed with a hair dye allergy, I’ve been super self-conscious about my hair. On top of that, I’ve been suffering from so much hair loss that I no longer have the courage to let my hair loose, so it’s always pulled back. Sometimes I feel like chopping it off so it’s not as heavy and hopefully won’t fall out as much (don’t know if that would actually make a difference, but at this point I’m desperate). And then I think to myself that short hair would be really hard to manage since I haven’t gotten any relaxing treatments in a long time. Also, the problem with this length is that you can’t do top knots. And I basically live in top knots, not just because it’s easier to manager in my current situation, but mostly because it’s hot and humid in my neck of the woods and I can’t stand the feeling of my hair sticking on my neck.

Then Kourtney Kardashian shows up on my Instagram feed sporting a newly cropped hairdo, and I’m thinking “That’s it! I’m going for it!”, and feel like I should just get it over with and do it. Because as much as I have issues with hair loss, I genuinely think my hair loss is an underlying symptom of something bigger, because my hair and nails grow REALLY fast, so I’m assuming they’re healthy. So no matter how short I chop my hair, it’ll be long again in no time. Also… it’s not the first time I’ve wanted a bob. Case in point: this old post. (If we can call that a post. Can’t believe I used to publish a couple of words and a single photo and call it a post…)

Anyhoo… I’m seriously thinking about this. Think these photos below will finally make me cave?

Je vais peut-être le faire à l’automne. Je veux vraiment pouvoir faire des top knots durant l’été à cause de la chaleur… alors disons octobre!
