When I was younger, and to be honest, up until not so long ago, I never really paid much attention or gave any importance to the makeup I was using. When I needed something, I’d just walk into a pharmacy and pick out whatever product I had to get, not really knowing if it was right for me (skin type, skin tone, etc.), and since I wasn’t exactly talented at putting on makeup and hardly ever wore any, I made sure it didn’t cost too much either because I considered it wasn’t worth it.
Oh what a mistake that was.
Ever since I set foot in a Sephora store with the intention of actually getting advice on what product to use, it changed everything. I wish I’d done so sooner, but hey… better late than never.
I used to buy random not-too-expensive concealers and never really understood the point of wearing any, because I didn’t think it did the trick. Of course, I know now that it’s because I wasn’t using the right ones. When I went to Sephora to get a new one, the sales associate suggested the Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer from Urban Decay, along with the Secret Brightening Powder from Laura Mercier to set it. And lemme tell you: it made ALL THE DIFFERENCE to actually get her advice. Now I can’t leave home without it… It has a natural finish, I don’t feel like I actually have anything on my face (feels super light), it lasts all day and most importantly: it REALLY covers up my dark circles (mine are very apparent…). If you’re looking to replace your concealer, I seriously suggest you head over to Sephora!
